05/02/07 - 11/02/07 Design board presentation week
In my presentation I delivered ideas that I thought would work well. I used powerpoint and visual aids to help my convey my ideas. My presentation went smoothly but I think that some working examples would of made my ideas clearer.
12/02/07 - 18/02/07 Stage Construction
I started to find the locations that i will photograph to construct my stage ready for filming. There wasn't any major problems but i did have to wait till the weather cleared before photographing. After taking the photographs and being pleased with the results i started to play around with contrast and stylization.
19/02/07 - 25/02/07 Character Development
I started to develop my characters from 2-D sketch to a 3-D model. There was numerous problems creating the model. i thought i could paint the model then use plastercine to hold it together but because of the weight of the plastercine it would not stay in certain positions. Therefore i had to counteract the weight by positioning more plastercine at the tail. I placed pieces of wood through the arms and legs of the model into the body, this acted like a skeleton holding the model together and allowed the more flexibility. I started to design the exaggerated symbols. i had to work out the distance between the stage and the camera to accurately decide on the size of the symbols to print onto acetate. I would then place these sheetsinto a A4 frame to support it while being held up.
